An experiment that went very well.

This mug was begun as an experiment in our early days of mold making. A mold was pulled off a carved wooden cup that is commonly sold to tourists (Thus the name). The original was a stemmed cup, but we modified it to be the perfect size for smaller, "straight up" drinks.

It is fired in a tan slip with brown glaze to give it a unique texture and look.
